25045-ANC is renewing its efforts to raise funds to renovate the interior of the Roxy Theater as a multi-cultural center for low-cost movies, theater and dance, musical performances, educational classes, lectures for youth and adults, and other community events. There is no theater in the entire Elk River area and a multi-cultural center in Clendenin would furnish a dual benefit of recreational and educational activities for residents, employment, and increased downtown traffic benefiting local businesses.

Architectural plans have been drawn for a 117-seat facility. A generous donation from the Harper Foundation has allowed us to commence Phase 3 of the renovation project, which is getting the utilities restored. The rest of the project- restoring the interior-  can begin as soon as funds are available. The cost will range from $750,000 - $800,000.We need your support.
